This short safari to Samburu National Reserve offers a unique wildlife experience in Kenya’s northern frontier, known for its semi-arid landscapes and rare animal species.
At 8 a.m., you will be picked up from your stay in Nanyuki and depart for Samburu. Arrive at the park around 9.30 am and start a game drive till lunch hour. Drive to Sopa lodge for lunch, and after lunch, relax till 4p.m, for another game drive. Samburu Park has rare animals and birds, including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
After breakfast, head to the park for a full day game drive, with packed picnic lunch. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Have another early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, depart for Nanyuki.
