Mount Kenya Sirimon Route

After breakfast at 8:30am start hiking up to lake Elis, this is 7.5km and have hot lunch at the camp site later in afternoon walk around to the lake and to the serous ding picks and back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with an early breakfast before setting off on a steady ascent toward Mintos Camp. This is one of the longer trekking days on the route, covering approximately 11km and taking 5–6 hours depending on pace and conditions. As you climb higher into the alpine zone, the landscape opens up dramatically, offering expansive views of valleys, ridges, and peaks—especially rewarding on a clear day. Arrive at Mintos Camp in the afternoon with time to rest and acclimatize. Dinner is served at the campsite, followed by an overnight stay at high altitude in preparation for the next stage of the trek.

Wake up early at 1:30am for a warm cup of tea or coffee before beginning the summit push under the stars. The hike to Point Lenana (4,985m) on Mount Kenya takes you through rugged alpine terrain, with the goal of reaching the summit by 6:00am. At the top, enjoy a spectacular sunrise, clear views across the peaks, and time for photos before beginning your descent. Return to Mintos Camp for a well-earned breakfast, then continue descending toward the road head for lunch. Afterward, proceed further down to Anabas Camp, completing a long but rewarding trekking day. From Anabas, transfer arrangements mark the end of the trip.
